Ms. Walters has worked at a variety of companies and large law firms, including Paramount Global, Uptime App Limited, Bloom App Ltd., Torys LLP, Swidler Berlin Shereff and Friedman LLP and Z Group PLC. She is currently licensed to practice in both California and Texas.

While serving as counsel for Paramount Global, Ms. Walters was responsible for all content matters related to its brands. Having had substantial experience with international technology-based companies, she took the lead in negotiating all commercial contracts and service agreements not only for branded materials but also for CBS Media Ventures transactions.  She is also a shrewd litigator and is currently representing aggrieved plaintiffs in multi-district, class action litigation.

Ms. Walters has represented several companies based in London where she negotiated complex agreements in relation to products, services, software, and components with multiple technology-based platforms.  This included commercial contracts, consultation on legal risks concerning product design and solutions, as well as privacy and data protection compliance and all other regulatory matters.  As primary counsel for several product lines, she advised on the launch of new and updated consumer and business-to-business products, features and services.  

Ms. Walters’ expertise in intellectual property matters includes the use and classification of artificial intelligence in production, digital content, website, and internal business functions.  She is well-versed regarding all current laws and pending legislation concerning Artificial Intelligence and advises her clients regularly on relevant changes and updates.

As an attorney with substantial experience in media law, Ms. Walters is proficient in all federal regulations related to consumer-facing content such as federal consumer protection laws (FTC) and internet-based food, health and pharmaceutical advertising (FDA), as well as broadcast television (FCC) regulations.  This includes ensuring all client content, including social media and digital platforms, are legally compliant and safe from litigation claims such as copyright infringement, defamation, right of publicity and privacy violations. Ms. Walters’ comprehensive knowledge of international privacy laws also allows her to inform and update her clients concerning compliance with the CCPA/CRA, COPPA, GDPR, PIPEDA and other applicable international privacy regulations.
